Senior Sales Representative

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Sales Executive to further strengthen Ethiopian Airlines presence in the UK market.  If you are an experienced, proactive and reliable team player with a passion for sales, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a recognized impact within Africa’s largest airline.

The post is on a full-time 2 year fixed-term contract basis, based currently at our Brentford office in London (TW8).  We offer a competitive salary between £35,000 - £43,000 per annum and benefits package, depending on experience.  The role is primarily field based, with attendance required at the office depending on the needs of the business.    

Role:

Reporting to Sales Manager UK, this is a senior position within the UK leadership team, responsible for driving revenue and market share targets.  Main accountabilities include:

  • Develop, maintain and grow commercial B2B relationships.
  • Plan and execute sales promotional activities.
  • Deliver product training sessions. 
  • Negotiate and manage commercial agreements with assigned accounts.
  • MIDT/sales data analysis to identify opportunities/intervention areas.
  • Monitor and report on market competitor activity.
  • Provide pricing and fare analysis.
  • Represent the airline at networking events, trade shows and B2B/B2C events.  
  • Organize and participate in FAM trips.
  • Prepare weekly sales and other reports as required.

 

About You

  • Educated to minimum A level or eqv. qualification.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power point.
  • Excellent numeracy skills with proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an airline account management role with excellent network of industry contacts.
  • Strong understanding of UK travel industry distribution channels.
  • Good understanding of pricing structures.
  • Working knowledge of Sabre and DDS would be an advantage.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills. 
  • Self-motivated, be able to work under pressure with the ability to use own initiative along with excellent time management, organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a collaborative team approach.
