BAR UK sets up Site on the Internet

The Board of Airline Representatives in the UK (BAR UK), the trade association which represents the interests of scheduled airlines in this country, announced today that it has created its own website.

BAR UK's Chief Executive Peter North said: "The new site is designed to help the organisation to communicate more effectively. From now on, anyone seeking information about BAR UK, its members and affiliated organisations can do so easily by accessing BAR UK's website at www.bar-uk.org.

A number of BAR UK members already have their own sites and these are easily accessed via links from BAR UK's site. There is also a separate Links Page on the site where it is possible to access more than 70 aviation related organisations worldwide. The BAR UK site address is: www.bar-uk.org.

Note to editors:
Boards of Airline Represenatives exist in many countries where aviation is well established and are a recommended practice of the International Air Traffic Association (IATA). To the best of our knowledge, BAR UK is the first to set up its own site on the Internet.
