Robert Atkinson elected as new BAR UK Chairman

Following the return of the outgoing Chairman, Raja Segran of Singapore Airlines, to his home country, the Board of BAR UK is pleased to announce the election of Robert Atkinson, General Manager, Passenger Sales UK/Ireland and The Nordic Countries for Air Canada, as his successor.

Elected as the new Vice Chairman is Angela Coleman, Regional Director Stations - Delta Air Lines, who is already a Board Director.

The Board also welcomes Sandra Bloodworth, Area Manager UK, Royal Brunei Airlines, and Thomas Savva, General Manager UK/Ireland, Olympic Airlines, on their appointments to the Board.

Robert Atkinson said ‘On behalf of all of our members, I thank Raja for his leadership as Chairman, his service to BAR UK over a number of years, and the contribution he has made to our aims and objectives. As Chairman, I now look forward to continuing that example, and to leading the Board of BAR UK during the demanding times ahead.

‘As ever, the aviation world is facing new challenges on many fronts. BAR UK will continue to play a major role on behalf of its members.’
