MEMBERSHIP
FULL MEMBERSHIP
This is available only to any scheduled airline that undertakes business within the UK, or is represented in the UK.
Scheduled airlines who operate flights to, or within, the UK are known as 'On Line' members, and those who do not, are known as 'Off Line' members. Both are referred to as 'Members' and enjoy the same rights and benefits.
MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
- BAR UK CAN ENSURE THAT MEMBERS VIEWS AND OPINIONS ARE HEARD WHICH IS BEYOND THE SCOPE OF MOST MEMBERS.
- BAR UK CAN PROVIDE THE TIME AND COMMITMENT, AND EXPERTISE, TO RESPOND TO GOVERNMENT AND REGULATORY CONSULTATIONS THAT MOST MEMBERS COULD NOT.
In addition to these two vital benefits, BAR UK membership offers:
- Entitlement to attend General Meetings
- Entitlement to attend, and vote, at the Annual General Meeting (AGM)
- Entitlement to place issues on the agenda at General Meetings
- Representation of views in major consultation documents
- Members are kept updated on major air transport issues
- Regular e-mail updates on current issues
- Full time BAR UK Secretariat which
- responds fully to all major air transport consultations
- attends Government meetings on behalf of Members.
- attends meetings with regulators on behalf of Members
- attends airport AOCs and Airport Consultative Committees.
- lobbies on behalf of Members
- publishes BAR UK newsletters (normally six times per year)
- can be contacted for advice

Members' Subscriptions
The membership year starts on 1 January and subscription payments and joining fees must be received and cleared before any application is confirmed.
New membership, which commences in any other month than January, will be reduced according to the amounts shown in this table.
All amounts are in GBP to which VAT (17.5%) must be added.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
An organisation that is linked to the scheduled airline industry may apply for Associate membership. The number of Associate members is strictly limited so applications are closely vetted and subject to approval by the Board.
BENEFITS OF ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
- Listing, with logo, on BAR UK website and link to own website
- Entitlement to attend General Meetings
- Receipt of BAR UK newsletters
Optional opportunities at additional cost (subject to negotiation)
- Presenting to members at General Meetings
- Featuring their products in BAR UK newsletters
- E-mailings to members via BAR UK secretariat
